About Brewnotes
Last updated 6 September 2026
Brewnotes is a small buying guide for home coffee gear: grinders, kettles, drippers and scales. It exists to answer one question well, which is which piece of equipment suits the way you actually make coffee.
How the guides are put together
Every entry is built from two sources: the specification the manufacturer publishes, and the pattern in publicly available owner reviews. That is research, not testing.
Nobody here has brewed with this equipment. There are no scores out of five, no verdicts and no “we lived with it for three weeks” claims, because none of that would be true. If that changes, the site will say so and will say who did the testing and for how long.
What that means for you
A specification tells you what a machine can do, not whether you will enjoy using it. Where owners consistently report the same annoyance, that is worth knowing and is written down. Where opinion is genuinely split, that is written down too, rather than resolved with a number.
Money
Brewnotes intends to earn through affiliate links. See the affiliate disclosure for exactly how that works and what it does and does not change.
Corrections
Specifications change and mistakes happen. If something here is wrong, it will be corrected rather than quietly deleted.
